When I Lost My Cool in the School Parking Lot.

It wasn’t my proudest moment.
My son was whining about forgetting his science project — for the third time this week — and I just... snapped.

I didn’t scream, but I raised my voice.
I didn’t curse, but my words came out sharp and ugly.
And worst of all, I saw his little face crumble.

In the middle of the chaos, I saw myself in him — overwhelmed, tired, trying.
I took a deep breath and said something I wish more parents normalized:
“I’m sorry. I was wrong. Let’s try again.”

He looked surprised.
Then he hugged me.
Then we both cried a little.

This journey has taught me that apologizing doesn’t weaken your authority — it deepens your connection.

I’m not a perfect mom.
But I’m a present one.
And I’m teaching my kids that being human isn’t something to hide — it’s something to honor.

Motherhood is messy, that is for sure. And that mess? It’s where the magic of growth, grace, and healing lives.

Your story is strength.
Every messy, magical, overwhelming, and victorious moment you’ve lived through matters — and other mamas need to hear it.
Let’s normalize the real and celebrate your truth.
